                                The French Legion of Honor
French President, Jacques Chirac, decided to award the French Legion of Honor to World War II veterans who served in France during the
war and who met other requirements.(

On 29 April 2009, Pfc Frederick C Clinton, D Company 254th Infantry Regiment was awarded the French Legion of Honor at the French
Embassy in Washington  D C at a ceremony that included eleven(11) other WWII veterans .
